The project

As part of a firm-wide strategic initiative within Wealth Management for US, you’ll be involved in the wealth management Americas platform program to successfully deliver code completion for Core Advisory deliverables. We are partnering with Broadridge to accelerate the transformation of its front office and advisory capabilities by leveraging market services to mutualize the cost of change for non-competitive capabilities. The platform will deliver a set of technology capabilities that will transform the way wealth management operates and provide an integrated advisory platform based on relationships and goals, that supports how clients want to engage with us. This initiative includes both legacy and new cloud-based technology applications that are integrating with the Broadridge applications to create the new wealth management technology platform for US market.

The team

You’ll be working in the Core Advisory Technology team within wealth management technology for US. Our team is responsible for providing the core applications used by Financial Advisors & Home Office users within the Advisory business. The team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the applications. Core Advisory team supports both legacy applications with legacy technology, as well as new cloud-based applications with the latest technology. You’ll be supporting one of the many applications (legacy and / or cloud) as part of the Core Advisory team based on the needs to support the business and program deliverables.

• Responsible for front and back-end web development
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to design and launch new features.
• Maintain code integrity and organization.
• Ensure the best technical implementation methods are executed within acceptable timeframes
• Prioritize feature requests, enhancements, and bug fixes into an achievable roadmap
• Share technical solutions and product ideas with the team
• Mentor and lead other team members
• Design and code cloud-native applications
• Provide technical leadership during the development of complex software applications.

Technical Competencies

• 8+ years of professional web-based and API development experience
• 5+ years of experience in Java
• Experience in OOD, JavaScript, Jquery, Ext Js JavaScript Frameworks, Typescript, CSS, HTML
• Knowledge of Spring Framework, Java Server Pages (JSP), and JavaScript is essential
• Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns
• Understanding of XML and JSON

Technical Competencies:

• UI Design experience, specifically for web applications a plus
• Experience with versioning tools like GIT and SVN
