Your new role
Responsibility
- Build the future product platform, analyse and integrate 3rd party services
- Develop secure, scalable server-side applications using the latest Java frameworks
- Deliver high quality, efficient, defect free code using the latest technologies, following the best practices of the industry
- Take a very involved role in the various agile activities, including leading planning and estimating sessions and reporting progress to their assigned project lead and/or project manager
- Lead design and code reviews and be accountable for the actions taken from these sessions, seeing them through to implementation as agreed
What you'll need to succeed
Essential experience
- Excellent knowledge of Java
- Java concurrency knowledge
- Experience with Java EE and/or Spring frameworks
- Experience with XML and JSON processing libraries
- Good knowledge of SQL, experience with any RDBMS
- Experience with multi-tier applications, OOP, client-server technology, unit tests
- Good spoken and written English skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Good problem solving skills
Desirable experience
- Akka framework
- Oracle DB environments
- NoSQL databases, Cassandra is preferable
- Test-driven development
- ExtJS framework
