The Java Application Platform is the standard platform for Java Enterprise Edition-based client/server style applications. JAP provides services to support application development, to centrally operate and maintain applications and to manage and evolve the platform as a product.
The JAP Consultant supports applications during the initial onboarding, new Business releases or migrations to newer platform versions. The project consulting starts with understanding customer needs and with a reflection on conditions of the standard platform to be able to find and to implement optimal solutions. An actual topic is the first JAP release on Cloud (Infrastructure as a Service).
Key Responsibilities:
- Representing the Java Application Platform (services) to the customer
- Supporting projects from kickoff till launch in production
- Guiding projects in questions and issues regarding platform, infrastructure and process
- Coordination of all partners for configuration purposes
- Supporting projects (developer & PL’s) during usage of the JAP ToolChain
- Ensuring quality and compliance to standards
- Experience in Java EE development
- Professional communication skills
- Experience in enterprise components configuration
- General IT knowledge and background in development & infrastructure
- Fluent written and spoken Enlgish
- Experience in WebLogic Application Server (WLS)
- Interesting projects focused on new technologies and realized within different client’s sectors (banking, telco, pharma)
