We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
IT Service Owner
Location: Kraków
The IT Service Owner (ITSO) is a named individual who has responsibility for the ongoing supply and support of IT Services.
Key Accountabilities:
Your main responsibility will be to own and manage IT services in the following scope:
Understand your services – know how your services operate, understand its infrastructure and the business value it provides
Communication with stakeholders – provide a single point of contact for Business and IT colleagues for any inquiries related to provision of the IT service
Support model and issue resolution:
Ensure that appropriate support model is established for your services
Work closely with support teams on issues, lead to resolution and coordinate if needed
Coordinate infrastructure and corrective actions related to services in your department:
Plan, review and schedule the changes with ITID team and other ITSO's
Make sure all required IT engineers (DBA's, MQ specialists, Linux admin's etc.) are included in the process and aligned within the agreed maintenance window
Track and coordinate the work while the activities are being performed
Make sure all required health checks are done and the service is operational after the activities
Coordinate backout plan implementation if needed
Service Continuity – make sure that Service Continuity plans are maintained and routinely tested
Regular reviews – conduct regular reviews of the metrics captured and identify potential areas of constraint
Group policies and standards – ensure the services comply with group infrastructure and security policies and standards
Knowledge base – actively maintain your service knowledge base
Requirements:
Intensively driven, proactive and delivery focused
Understanding of service management techniques, including change management and incident management
Knowledge of UNIX, Windows, Oracle DB, MQ and Web application servers architecture (hands-on experience in at least one of mentioned technologies)
Good communication and presentation skills – versatility to communicate effectively with IT, Business, external vendors and high senior management
Availability to work in different shifts, or be "on call" duty, to support a 'follow the sun' model if required (in a reasonable manner!)
Excellent/very good English
Not required but desired:
Experience in project tracking, reporting and governance with understanding of the project delivery process
Practical experience with delivery, implementation, service and management on external cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and/or other cloud solutions
Skills and experience in infrastructure design, implementation and maintenance
Project management certification is a plus (ex. PMI, CAPM, PMP or PRINCE2)
