Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the planning, development, deployment, maintenance and support applications
- Identify, develop, resource and continuously improve of effective talent
- Lead and manage a team of application developers, managing day-to- day delivery and maintenance activities in support of prioritized projects
- Use modern collaboration tools Confluence / Jira and Dashboards to manage the development team in the most effective way
- Establish and implement individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility for assigned area of responsibility
- Provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent
- Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility
- Accountable for the adherence to allocated budget
- Monitor and report on budgetary status
- Lead development, monitoring and analysis of Divisional budget, balanced scorecard and other performance metrics
- Collaborate with other managers and resources on the development and execution of project plans, test plans and implementation plans including ensuring appropriate project resource allocations
- Manage projects and work efforts according to the priorities defined by the business and strategies, ensuring initiatives deliver on time, in scope, and within budget. · Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
Candidate requirements:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Masters degree in
- Computer Science preferred. 5+ years of related IT experience
- Quick learner, eager to leverage new technologies in a dynamic team environment
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask effectively
- Minimum of 5 years managing application delivery/development staff
- Knowledge of various SDLC practices, concepts, and techniques including change control management, version control, testing techniques, etc.
- Proven experience managing projects in both waterfall and agile team environments
- Senior Management experience
- PM skills are a plus.- Several years of industry experience within people management area
