Your new role
This role can be at a Specialist, Senior Specialist or an Expert level, depending on the candidate’s seniority and experience. The purpose of the role is to provide independent and objective assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of ICFR (Internal Control over Financial Reporting - SOX or CECS (Control over Economic Capital and Solvency - Solvency II) processes and controls. The role will focus on the company’s key controls in the IT General Controls area of responsibility. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for allocated testing for the system components, processes, data and/or IT environment.
In this role you will:
- Manage the ITGC testing scope and support the Team Manager in identifying/analyzing/concluding the financial ITGC reporting risks for the processes in their Reporting Units. Select which IT-Finance related processes and controls to test under a risk based rotational testing approach, providing direction on application of testing methodology.
- Manage testing of sensitive ITGC controls with highly confidential evidence (e.g. indirect entity level controls such as Board and Management Committees) provided by the units, and any other agreed testing for the RUs.
- Plan and execute ITGC testing, leverage and coach existing business controller team in Kraków, track adherence to agreed testing schedules
- Support the Team Manager in ad-hoc ITGC ICFR or CECS testing related tasks and projects. Coach where appropriate other ITGC team members.
- Appropriately challenge colleagues and direct reports and clients to deliver high quality findings and issue definition from regional and local control and/or action owners.
- Where necessary create new test cases/scripts and identify improvement opportunities. Validate existing scripts and ensure fit for purpose, work with ITGC and Business testing team in Kraków.
If you want to be successful candidate you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business IT/Computer Science or related field.
- At least 1 year of post-graduate experience in the area of IT controls or internal audit, 3+ years for a Senior position, 5+ years for an Expert position
- English C1
- Preferred: Languages B2 in German/Spanish/Italian.
- Significant knowledge of IT/Finance & Accounting processes and controls or Audit is a pre-requisite.
- Previous experience managing global/regional audit or internal controls engagements is also required.
- Experience in ITGC SOX/Control/Audit or having worked in a Risk/Capital Modelling environment. Affinity with IS strategy, IS security policy and the organisation of IS staff.
- Detailed knowledge of ITGC, Auditing principles/practices.
- Good project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of information risk concepts and practices.
- Experience with designing and executing processes under a formal control framework (e.g. Solvency II, SOX or similar) will be an advantage
- Experience of working across business units and geographical boundaries to engage IT, business and team members as required.
