Description
The successful candidate for the Quality Engineer role at my client's site in Hampshire will fulfil the following responsibilities -
- Effectively and efficiently, manage all customer complaints on daily basis.
- First quality contact and customer contact for all customers and suppliers claims.
- Actively Lead and Chair tasks towards successful completion of all corrective or preventive actions needed.
- Support customer and internal meetings to share development status and report inwardly the customer requirements to suppliers.
- Cross functionally work with internal departments (Sales, QA, Engineering and Production) to ensure elements are covered and cleared to agreed timescales.
- Work with Quality Management to develop, write, promote and enhance Quality Plans.
- Interpret and communicate customer requirements within the business.
- Follow internal KPI for customer and supplier claims and report to higher management.
Profile
To be considered for the Quality Engineer role at my clients Wroclaw site the candidate must provide evidence of the following -
- Good understanding in 8D, quality methodology and associated tools (required).
- Track record in dealing with customer's claims and supplier audits
- Working knowledge of IATF requirements
- Maintaining and managing a customer and supplier complaints database.
- Good understanding of Control Plan, FMEA and all relevant PPAP documentation.
- To be able to understand and work with technical drawings, as well as dimensionally measuring plastic parts with Non-Contact measurement equipment.
- Lean / Six Sigma working knowledge (advantage).
- Kaizen working knowledge (advantage).
- A methodical and process driven approach.
- Excellent reporting capabilities and clear communication.
- Capability to work with minimal or no supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Office
