New investor in Tricity! - Maersk Drilling, a global leader in the OIL & GAS industry, opening a new office in Gdansk.

We are looking for INVENTORY PLANNER- you will be responsible for optimizing the inventory and inventory control parameters to support the operations and activities of the Maersk Drilling fleet.

As Fleet Inventory Planner, you will drive the establishment and implementation of new planning processes and governance to optimize demand and inventory policies. Working closely with the Inventory Data Analyst and Inventory Specialist you will build Maersk Drilling’s capability to efficiently forecast and plan inventory requirements to support maintenance events, both planned and unplanned. You will also need to work closely with other key stakeholders from Maersk Drilling’s Operations, Finance, and Technical Organization to achieve this.

Responsibility:
  • Define, implement and maintain a monthly demand planning cycle and associated processes, the output of which is an agreed and aligned demand forecast plan that can be executed by IFS (Maersk Drilling’s ERP system)
  • Map the defined demand planning processes into Maersk Drilling’s SIRIUS Management System and work instructions in IFS (ERP system) in collaboration with the Inventory Governance & Compliance Manager
  • Maintain the global inventory policy including:
a) Classification of products (stock / non stocked, criticality, etc.) b) Optimization of inventory levels, re-order points, order size (what to stock and how much in each location) c) Optimization of global inventory warehousing (Where to stock), not considering the physical warehousing aspect d) Support maintaining supply chain master data on part number level
  • Consolidate consumption and forecast data from the Inventory Data Analyst and other stakeholders in the Technical Organisation and Operations to create a single demand forecast
  • Collaborate with the Technical Organisation and Operations to review the demand forecast and agree updates to the spare parts portfolio and associated stocking levels, incl. taking into account strategic considerations
  • Lead and document monthly forecast meetings with the agreed stakeholders in the Technical Organisation and Operations
  • Monitor / identify potential slow moving inventory and agree on action plans in cooperation with the Technical Organisation and Operations
  • Maintain a record of forecast developments for stakeholder communication and traceability purposes
  • Establish monitoring KPIs and follow up processes to measure for example: Inventory unavailability vs. demand, inventory development e.g. value and turn, aging inventory vs. policy, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual inventory budget forecast and subsequent budget forecast reviews
  • Build strong relations and align strategic direction with Technical Operations, Operations, and Finance. Establish a positive and constructive dialogue to maintain a high level of Service and Operational uptime

Qualification Requirements:
  • You have experience as a Supply Chain Planner or similar related to spare parts planning, ideally related to industrial equipment or the oil & gas industry
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • You have a diplomatic approach and open/‘out-of-silo’ mind-set with the ability to build successful relationships across functions and with all stakeholders
  • You have the ability to work in an international context
  • You have a proven track record of leading and delivering efficiency improvements.
  • You have good organizational skills and you are a communicator with solid interpersonal skills.
  • You have a high level of energy, and you appreciate a dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
