Our Client is a dynamic private equity fund present on the Polish and CEE markets. We are looking for an Internal Auditor which is a new role in the company’s structure. Internal Auditor will be responsible for auditing and monitoring companies that fund wants to invest in as well as current portfolio companies. Successful candidate has already performed due diligence, operational and anti-fraud audits and has previous experience gained in internal and external audit. Financial knowledge will be great advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Providing external and internal client service on a multitude of matters including auditing, monitoring and identifying key risk areas in portfolio companies
- Monitoring of companies that the fund invests in in both pre-acquisition and post-acquisition stage
- Structuring the commercial and financial due diligence, identifying areas to improve and risks to be mitigated
- Ensuring the areas for improvement and risks mitigants are implemented. The continuous monitoring of execution of the fund’s strategy, providing additional analysis as required and preparing the company for eventual sale
- Ensuring that the portfolio companies are professionally run and that all corporate governance issues are in place
- Interacting with internal departments and senior executives of portfolio companies at various levels across multiple locations and geographies
- Developing relationships with accounting and controlling professionals in portfolio companies in order to develop, drive and implement best practice processes and improvements
- Provide periodic reports to management on portfolio performance and other related issues
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in audit (BIG4) and internal audit experience
- Strong analytical skills, numerical and problem solving skills
- Business oriented attitude and a hands on approach
- Strong people skills
- Ability to achieve deadlines
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Solid client relationship management skills
- Willingness to travel (occasional travel required)
- Experience in private equity, investment funds or real estate area would be an advantage
