THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
They are a large company aimed towards fresh produce with sustainability as an important factor. They export to over 70 countries world-wide from their huge range of produce.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Junior Supply and Demand Planner you try to find the right balance between both. You will do this in a Supply Chain team and communicate intensely with various departments in the company. All of this is done to create the best possible forecasts for the inventory levels and of course for the customers. Because of the freshness the produce needs to maintain accurate planning is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the planning to the supply and demand for various fresh produce going to all sorts of countries. You do this in a team of supply chain planners and communicate a lot with different departments in the company to ensure a correct and accurate forecast. This forecast is required to ensure correct inventory levels and in the end customer satisfactory. Also you will be responsible for:
- Continuously thinking about about freight sizes, expiration dates and actual demand
- Closely working with the sales and procurement department
- Creating short and mid term planning
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc degree in Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Management
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within Food or the FMCG industry
- APICS certified is a large pre
- Experienced ERP user
