THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Chemicals and Food organization, based in Brussel Belgium.

This client operates in the global food ingredients market. As such, experience in the Food industry is a must. You can however take internal courses to learn about the products, as long as you bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This client has a solid network of key accounts and repeat customers. It will be your job to maintain that network, keep the customers satisfied and treat any issues carefully. For this, you are patient, customer-oriented, and communicative both in speech and writing. You know French, English and Dutch. While your external sales colleagues focus on acquiring new business, you meet your targets by cross-selling, creating custom solutions and handling complaints. As a person, you are willing to learn, enthusiastic and commercial. You are eager to continuously improve yourself and determined to make the difference in existing accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You cross-sell products to increase the sales
• You develop personalised ingredients solutions
• For this, you cooperate closely with the technical departments
• You set the pricing guidelines and follow them
• Following up on all communication is key!
• You negotiate prices with individual buyers

REQUIREMENTS

• Academic degree in a Commercial area (e.g. Master of Economics)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the food industry
• Experience with Food ingredients or additives is a strong plus
• Experience handling complaints, in customer service or similar
• Calm personality, good at negotiating, building long-term relationships
• Fluent Dutch, French, English
• Other languages are a plus
