Service Center and Service Management team is currently supporting around 1500 workstations in a controlled and fully managed environment of around 1000 end users.
End users are working on the standardized models of laptops, desktops and thin clients. All end users workstations are using Microsoft based operating system Windows 7 or Windows 10. Management of the desktops is performed by the System Center
Configuration Manager (SCCM) ver.
1710 and other dedicated management tools.
There is a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) implemented with VMware Horizon View.
Main duties:
- Managing end users' desktop environment
- Troubleshooting Windows based desktops
- Performing patching, upgrading and updating end users' environment
- Deploying applications
- Performing scripting and configurations distribution
- Providing 1st level ICT support to the Frontex users (internal and external)
- Depending on advantageous competences, performing patching, upgrading and updating the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Depending on advantageous competences, troubleshooting Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Must have:
- Must hold first cycle higher education
- Must hold at least 2 certificates from the following list: ITIL foundation, CCENT, CCNA, MCP, MCITP, MTA: IT Infrastructure, MCSA: Windows 7, MCSA: Windows Server 2012, MCSA: Windows Server 2008, MCSE: Server Infrastructure, MCSE Desktop Infrastructure, MCTS: Administering and Deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, CompTIA Linux+ (or any Linux distribution entry-level certificate), VMware Certified Associate
- At least 3 years direct, hands-on working experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of ITIL ICT Service Operation, 2nd line support: maintaining end users' workstations environment
- Knowledge and experience in MS SCCM: deploying applications and security patches to end users' workstations and preparation and deployment of end users’ workstation OS images
- Ability and experience in managing GPOs
- Ability and experience in managing Directory
- Services & scripting in both, Microsoft and Open Source environment
- Experience in scripting languages (Microsoft and Open Source environments)
- Working knowledge in Linux OS
- Excellent command of English (at least at B2 level)
