• Determine the sales, pricing and promotional strategy.
• Analyze sales statistics and market information in order to provide relevant input for developing the sales strategy and identifying growth opportunities;
• Convert the sales strategy into tactical sales plans.
• Prepare annual sales budgets in collaboration with the DC.
• Lead, motivate, supervise and evaluate the sales managers, key account and other representatives with a view to achieving and surpassing the defined sales objectives;
• Draw up the annual program of the sales force.
• In collaboration with the DC, select and recruit sales managers, key account and other representatives;
• Prospect and maintain commercial relationships with major key accounts and, where necessary, negotiate sales contracts with key clients (eg in connection with tenders)
• Guarantee the respect for and implementation of the concluded sales contracts with clients;
• Solve business problems;
• Organize and participate to trade fairs;
• Promote, advertise and do marketing actions to increase clientele, along with Marketing and Publicity Manager
• Prepare and lead monthly sales meetings;
• Monitor payments in cooperation with the Head of credits;
• Adequate and practical discussion, determination and justification of sales objectives;
• Build and maintain an adequate prospection database
• Take action where necessary to reduce overstocks
• Prepare sales forecasts and participate in regular planning meetings with production and inventory managers.
• Inform the DC through a weekly report on your daily activities.
• Check for approval and sign all invoices related to sales activity.

Requirements

1. Recruitment Criteria

• University degree or equivalent higher qualification, preferably in economics or commercial/sales engineering.
• A proven and successful key account experience.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in a senior commercial role, preferably in the business - to - business food industry.
• Bilingualism (Dutch – French/English) is required.
• It is necessary to have strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to provide training, be trustworthy, have managing abilities.
• Willing to make frequent trips in the allocated region
• Agreement on the specific terms and conditions set forth in the hiring contract
• An outgoing and driven personality;
• Be trained and have a proven knowledge of the role and position of a B2B Sales Manager in the frozen puff pastry and bread market;
• Have adequate leadership skills and social skills;
• Strong presentation skills
• Fluency in English, Dutch or French is essential;
