Head of Governance Cryptography

The Head of Cryptography Governance is responsible for operating as part of a global/regional team within Cybersecurity to define and implement an industry-leading Cybersecurity Service that supersedes our constantly changing information security threats. This role is accountable for direct management of a team and/or managing regional relationships. The role is also responsible for delivering governance, audit, compliance and regulatory requirements, MI/reporting; and management of all Cryptography standards.


Key Accountabilities:


• Collaborate with the Global, Regional and Country representatives of Technology, plus other peer managers to implement the team's goals within entity policy, expense and regulatory constraints.
• Lead and support peers within the ITID (Cryptography) and Cybersecurity function to define and implement an industry leading Cybersecurity Service that supersedes our constantly changing information security threats.
• Ensure adherence to the three lines of defence organisational model with clear lines of responsibility, accountability and segregation of duties.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit and external regulators that any organisational changes are fit-for-purpose and meet their expectations.
• Contribute to the Sub-function/Region Cybersecurity strategy to secure the bank's technology from the inside out, whilst maintaining, protecting and enhancing values, reputation and stakeholder value.
• Contribute to the overall definition of responsibilities and accountabilities of Cybersecurity and build a team which supports the Cybersecurity (Cryptography) model and defined strategy.
• Responsible for ensuring effective engagement with GB/GF/Regions.
• Embeds best practice management and supports implementation of transformational change.
• Management responsibility for a team, providing clear direction, setting performance targets of direct reports. and contributes to employees' professional development.
• Build plans and budgets for respective team which identify value and cost reduction opportunities.

Requirements:
• Knowledge of cryptography would be desirable
• Proven experience in Audit, Governance and Compliance issues along with remediation plans
• Experienced in dealing with Internal and External auditors and reporting
• Monitor, report and and identify progress on projects raising any issues/risks, escalating as appropriate to Cryptographic Services leadership and wider business management functions.
• Build trusting relationships with stakeholders by consistently meeting and delivering upon their business needs; demonstrating and being respected for your domain knowledge.
• Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
• Have proven leadership and people maangement skills.
• Experience of working within a project management environment.
• Be knowledgeable about business needs, the businesses of competitors and emerging trends in the industry landscape.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to motivate and communicate at all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to support and work alongside Global colleagues.
• Proactively interact with and provide support to delivery partners to ensure the needs of the business are met.
