Your new company
For our Client – SSC of international, well-known organization from banking area - based in Cracow - we are currently looking for experienced Candidate for the position of Head of Accounting and Control.
Your new role
You will be responsible for end to end delivery of and relationship management with stakeholders ensuring quality of financial accounting, reports and analysis, optimizing process efficiency within a consistent governance framework. Lead Financial Control function. You will be responsible for defining KPI structure, review of plans and budgets for associated entities and manage key controls, escalating to senior management any significant control deficiencies. Your job is to develop, lead and motivate the leadership team. You will be in charge of change management projects to increase efficiencies and cost reduction across global processes. Head of Accounting and Control will be lead the implementation and oversight of finance policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance. You will be in charge of costs and budgets management for respective teams. Head of Accounting will also participate in finance governance meetings with various Senior Finance stakeholders and maintain relationships with auditors, to oversee a thorough and beneficial audit process.
What you'll need to succeed
As ideal Candidate you should have a university degree in economics and finance, at least 10 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting or audit as well as experience in team management (ideally financial services/ banking). You should have advanced knowledge of the banks systems, central bank regulations/ legal issues, Basel II /III, as well as financial principles (IFRS), accounting and control. Excellent verbal and written language skills in English is a must. As a Candidate you should also have strong knowledge of MS Excel (VBA preferable) and working experience with external and regulatory reporting. We are looking for candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
