Description
We are member of French ALTEN Group present in 25 countries around the world and employing over 34,000 engineers and IT specialists. Since 1988 we deliver advanced IT systems for well-known brands, develop medicine and the renewable energy industry. ALTEN innovates aero and cosmonautics, trains, electric and autonomous vehicles, and even space rockets. We are currently looking for Hardware Engineer who will join our team.
Main tasks
- Member of the RF design team, involved in the complete product development cycle, from the initial stages of the design to production transfer.
- Working with cutting edge RFID / mobile access technologies: BTSmart (BLE), UHF / HF and LF RFID technology; Circuit / PCB design.
- Co-develop and enforce hardware development standards.
- Develop and document hardware architecture and interfaces. Development & execution of comprehensive test plans for design validation. Formal report writing.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to get things done.
- Work together with team leads to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in an electronics company. Experience with RF CAD tools.
- Experience of PCB design tools e.g. Altium / Orcad.
- Experience using simulation packages (e.g. PSpice, CST Studio).
- Mixed mode design.
- RFID experience a positive but not essential.
- Understanding & of the development, manufacturing & test processes for complex multi-layer PCB assemblies.
- Previous knowledge and use of common electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analysers, network analysers. Programming languages (Python / Visual basic / C++) a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to identify problems & to provide solutions with minimal direction.
- Communicative English – verbal and writte
