HANA DB Administrator (SAP)
Location: Remote PolandOur client is a market leader producer of Integrated Circuits Lithography and Metrology machines, based in the Netherlands.
They have a roadmap of business innovation projects and desire a partner to manage both Technical Operations and Governance of their SAP Cloud Platform. They target to increase adoption of next-generation technologies through the use of SAP Cloud Platform, thus they need rapid and robust project deployments.
They are looking for technical expertise in:
- Managing and administering SAP Cloud Platform Services
- Manage SCP Support in both Technical and Governance aspect
- Increased SAP Cloud Platform adoption through multiple application implementations and deployments
- Increased Security Compliance of SCP as per the company's security standards
Regarding this particular position:
Our main scenario is the operation and support of the HANA Cloud service provided by SAP (https://discovery-center.cloud.sap/serviceCatalog/sap-hana-cloud/?). This is not just another DB system that a SAP system will run on, but an SAP-provided platform acting as both database and application runtime for custom developed apps. There are no real infra activities like installation/upgrade as those are managed by SAP, core activities are more towards the platform and application support areas.
The current HANA team is mainly composed of application developers using the HANA Cloud as platform to develop applications. Supporting them and their apps on the various HANA cloud environments is our main focus. Basic familiarity with their work such as described in SAP course HC450E is probably required. The role itself is likely close to what's described in HC200E. These types of profiles typically have a background in on-premise HANA administration but have shifted focus towards operating the SAP-provided Cloud versions of the HANA Database and Runtime.

- HANA DB Monitoring including performance and DB Object Troubleshooting
- DB administration and Reporting
SKILLS
MUST
HANA DB administration skills using HANA DB cockpit/HCMT/DB Explorer
Prior Experience in SAP Cloud Engagement (=>2 years)

HANA DB Development Skills (CDS)
