Key Responsibilities:
Working as a Hardware and Firmware Group Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Working closely with the Director of Engineering and Human Resources to grow the group according to the plan
• People management, including recruitment and selection, goal setting and career reviews, coaching, and ongoing training and development
• Supporting the creation and maintenance of a culture of engagement with the organization’s goals and objectives • Working closely with Project Managers to ensure effective project execution from people management, technical, and customer management perspective
• Supporting the preparation of project proposals, statements of work, and project specifications
• Working closely with Quality & Regulatory Affairs to ensure adherence to quality standards and processes
• Supporting business development in the designated area
• Developing and maintaining best in class Firmware and Hardware development process
Qualifications required:
• Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related
• At least 10+ years experience in people and complex project management/execution
• Experience in Firmware or Hardware engineering
• Experience in people and process management
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers
• Proven ability to resource, motivate and manage multi-disciplinary teams and to identify and nurture talent
• The ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
• Excellent cross-group, multi-location collaboration, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Additional qualifications:
• Experience in project management would be a distinct advantage
• Strong business development and customer-facing skills
• A track record in Firmware or Hardware project management is a plus
