Your new role
- Oversight of emerging risks, strategic initiatives and/or local change activity and new/materially changed products
- Analysis of risk exposure across all operations and territories to inform capital management and stress testing requirements
- Responsibility for the implementation of company's Risk Management Framework (RMF) that sets out governance, policies and practices to proactively identify, assess, measure and report on, mitigate and control operational risk exposures associated with company's businesses and operations at all levels of the organisation.
- Provide oversight, review and challenge of the execution of the RMF across Second Line of Defence Non-Financial Risk Stewards
- Enhancement of Risk Steward capability through supporting the delivery of Risk Steward learning initiatives, on-going review of the skills framework and Champion ORR excellence and embedding of the 3 lines of defence across company
- Maintain a commercial understanding without compromising standards of internal control and organisational risk appetite in a growing and successful business, whilst maintaining an excellent relationship with regulators and industry bodies in respect of NFR and policy developments for operational and resilience risks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Expert level of business management knowledge and experience of working in a senior role
- Expert level of risk management knowledge, including strong understanding of the RMF
- Risk stewardship experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, building strong relationships and influencing key senior internal and external stakeholders - by articulating compelling arguments, positions, strategy and vision
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external environment (risk, regulatory, geopolitical, competitor etc.)
- A change agent who challenges the status quo as a robust diplomat; cogently, constructively and positively, leading relevant strategies that enable safe growth of organisation
- Fluent in both oral and written English; recognised as a skilful communicator and influencer
