Your new company
We are currently looking for Global Category Manager for one of our international clients located in Tricity. Global Category Manager will be responsible for establishing, planning and executing all aspects of Category and administration services globally. He will be expected to create, facilitate and implement procurement solutions in line with company’s business activity and project plans.
Your new role
- Leading all Supply Chain activities, including handling and analyzing data, contract administration and running improvement projects.
- Continuous improvement of supply chain processes
- Developing and mentoring people
- Driving and managing supply chain automation and e-catalogs
- Providing Supply Chain Contract management services, category and stakeholders within the company
- Negotiating commercial terms of contract and ensuring that contracts are fit for purpose
- Proven track record of commercial acumen and collaboration.
- Develop suitable procedures for Contract & Category Management team specifically and obtain stakeholders as well as management’s approval
- Develop and maintain working relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Conduct supplier relationship management
- Monitor the development within the area of responsibility and keep the management informed of new products and price development
- Offer recommendations regarding improvements and cost savings in all matters within the area of responsibility
- Ensure monthly overview of contracts status is provided to relevant stakeholders
- Regular supplier relationship management activities, ,e.g. summary of suppliers spend, suppliers behavior pattern, and/or suppliers performance review
What you'll need to succeed
- 10+ years' experience in Global Supply Chain.
- Proven track record in developing, negotiating and implementing global category and strategy across projects and business units.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
- Proven experience in negotiation, management and implementation, and category management.
- Strategic thinking and experience in Category Strategy.
- Strong communication skills, networking and interpersonal skills
- Degree in Business Management, Economics, Legal or Supply Chain
- Experience in contract administration, contract drafting and contract implementation
- Relevant experience can compensate for required formal education.
- Experience in developing global category strategies
- Fluent written / verbal English
