We are looking for a person to hold the position GL Cost Accounting Specialistto one of the greatest SSC in Katowice.
New role
As a GL Cost Accounting Specialistyou will be mostly responsible for maintaining, enforcing and enhancing Guardian’s Desktop Procedures, including streamlining and improving the quality of inputs to Shared Services Processes, understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), ensuring strong internal controls are established and maintained in the ATR based activities, thorough understanding and knowledge of Plant operations, ensuring closing process and ensure quality, policy compliant, and on time month end submissions, month end closing activities (regular booking of accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations, etc.), following up and resolving ongoing issues by cooperating with other departments, also outside finance community, Account Reconciliations and group financial reporting.
Our requirements
Ideal candidate would have at least 3-4 years of relevant and similar experience, very good English knowledge, ability to travel, understanding and knowledge of glass manufacturing process is considered as a plus, excellent communication and facilitation skills - capable of executing through others (influence vs. control) and excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
