For our Client, an international company (SSC), we’re currently looking for “General ledger Accountant/Senior General Ledger Accountant”.


Location – Wrocław


Key responsibilities:
▪ Performs individually finance and accounting process activities such as bookkeeping, reporting, analyses, testing – for company entities in EMEA countries.
▪ Produces timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financials in line with company timetable and in line with company standards (US GAAP).
▪ Assures that all accounting procedures are in accordance with company policies and procedures and with all local laws and regulations.
▪ delivers results according to the set goals (KPI’s) in order to contribute to the effective realization of team objectives
▪ Leading and participation in projects and shows initiative in order to implement improvements and standardization
▪ Prepare and verify process descriptions documents
▪ Define new processes based on business request
▪ Test new system according to defined test scenarios
▪ Analyses account balances and reports in order to clarify and/ or to correct the transactions.
▪ Prepares and verifies the necessary data in different finance fields (e.g. payroll, fixed assets) in order to timely register the costs.
▪ Contributes to the timely and accurate performance of tasks related to the monthly closing within the team in order to prepare financial statements
▪ Set up an accounting system in coordination with Group EMEA strategy (e.g. SAP)
▪ Transfer accounting activities from various EMEA locations to GBSE in Wrocław
▪ Stabilize accounting processes and deliver best-in-class service
▪ Compliant to SOX procedures


Skills:
▪ Perfect knowledge of the RTR process plus experience in AP/AR
▪ Ability to work individually on a complex finance and accounting topics
▪ Experience partnering effectively throughout an organization to develop and drive regional initiatives
▪ Demonstrated understanding of regulatory environments
▪ Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills and attention to detail under pressure
▪ Change management leadership capability and demonstrated process management skills
▪ Track record of process improvement initiatives
▪ Knowledge of US GAAP,
▪ Knowledge of MS Office applications and Accounting/ ERP systems (SAP experience beneficial)
▪ Fluency in English is mandatory. Another European language is an asset.


Education/Experience:
▪ Masters/ Finance or Accounting with a typically at least 4 years Finance/ Accounting experience in an international company
▪ Typically, experience in working on more than one (RTR, PTP, OTC) team in SSC/BPO
▪ Strong communication skills and fast learning ability required
▪ Open mind highly appreciated
