Role Summary/Purpose

Design Engineer/Project leader for industrial low voltage switchboard, switchgear and related electrical distribution equipment. The Engineer will be responsible for supporting and leading cost out projects within Technology team in Bielsko-Biala.

Essential Responsibilities

•Generate cost out ideas, scope productivity projects including financial and technical aspects

•Lead and support productivity programs, validate designs, implement manufacturing readiness, and support product

•Ensure that projects meet their financial goals

•Ensure that developed designs meet industrial electrical distribution market needs defined by product technical specifications and UL, IEC, and ANSI standards.

•Develop and test product qualification, certification, and reliability requirements.

•Manage execution of prototype design, build, and testing

•Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to resolve design concept failures

The position is located in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Some travel may be required.

Wymagania

Qualifications/Requirements

•BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

•Working knowledge of Change Management, Six Sigma and Design For Reliability processes

•Demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans while delivering financial goals

•Knowledge of product cost structure

•Strong organization and analytical competencies

•Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to influence and drive change results

•Demonstrated high level of motivation and resourcefulness

•Ability to work in stress conditions

•Fluent in English

•Working knowledge with MS office SW, Word, Excel, Power Point...

•Working knowledge of CAD Software


Desired Characteristics

•MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

•Electrical distribution & protection industry experience

•Ability to lead multiple projects and tasks

•Green Belt certified

•Experience in product design, LV Distribution Equipment is a plus

•Knowledge of manufacturing production process

•Working knowledge of C-change NPI Process is a plus
