As a Data Engineer, you will be working with our Business Intelligence Team to maintain and develop the data warehouse. You will be responsible to build scripts, tools, infrastructure, frameworks, and services to ensure the data warehouse captures data in a comprehensive and timely manner and that ongoing improvement, enhancements and changes to the product are reflected in the data warehouse. You will also work with our Business Analysts to add meta-data layers to improve and enhance reporting and analytics practices.

Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing development tasks
- Participating in the design and implementation of features
- Working with other remote teams and stakeholders to implement integration
- Identifying issues and solving problems throughout the development cycle
Required skills:
- 3-5 years’ experience delivering commercial large-scale software solutions
- Strong software development experience of web applications utilising:
- Web fundamentals such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, NodeJS and JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower
- API design and development - RESTful Services
- Database technologies such as MongoDB, MSSQL
- Web server technologies such as Node.js, Apache, Nginx, etc.
- Experienced with selecting and utilising open source libraries
- Strong experience of owning the code from design to production deployment (ideally on AWS)
- DevOps expert with the ability to keep up with the latest innovations and implement tooling to go faster
- Ability to pick up and understand and modify existing code in various languages would be an advantage: C/C++/Java/C#/PHP
- Experience working in an agile environment utilising TDD and always looking to continuously improve
- English written and verbal skills at least on intermediate level
Preferred skills:
- Experience designing fault tolerant infrastructure using AWS EC2 and other AWS services
- First class communication skills to work with global teams both internally and externally with our technology partners
- Exposure to alternative cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure or Google Compute
