Front-End Engineer

Our client is a leading global Financial Market data provider who runs several change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in a very engaging environment making the most of cutting-edge technologies covering the domains of Real-Time, Big Data, Cloud, and Machine Learning. The Index Data Processing Platform (IDPS) is a program whose main purpose is to drive improvements across data collection, data management and data governance resulting in improved efficiencies, robustness, and the ability for our business to use our data as an asset by driving both cost savings and revenue opportunities. • Participates in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze requirements and provides design recommendations for complex systems.
• Works with project teams to define and design the scope for each project.
• Works closely with planning and technology architects to assure all systems are in line with IT long-term strategy.
• Provides design recommendations, develops application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces.
• Makes complex modifications to existing software applications in accordance with high-level specifications and industry standards.
• Reviews effort to ensure compliance to application architecture standards.
• Develops new cross-functional software systems using disciplined software development processes. • Carries out unit testing and implements cross-functional systems ensuring the system meets the needs of clients and businesses.
• Researches new and emerging technologies.
• Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to application development teams.
• Utilizes and stays current on multiple programming languages and software technologies.

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in software development.
• Relevant experience working with JavaScript, Angular technologies (3+ years)
• API Frameworks
• Understanding of SCRUM methodology Medium
• Design/architecture pattern
