THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Chemicals and Food organization, based in Utrecht Netherlands.
Chemicals are this clients forte - so a (bio)chemical background is a strong pre for this position.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In this role you are responsible for a research and development team consisting of 10 fte. It is an temporary project for a minimum of 6 months. Therefore we are looking for a experienced project manager with strong people skills. There is a clear strategy for the future and you will help to get the team ready for this ever changing future. If you have successfully lead R&D teams before and are willing to learn about chemicals and help the company move forward, this might be the right challenge for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up the team building training for the R&D team
• Lead the team by example towards growth and innovation
• Ensure that the personal objectives of the team members are SMART and supporting the growth ambition.
• Inspire, tease, guidance, challenge innovation are key words in approaching the team.
• The existing team training program is requesting a new approach exiting to several team members
• Work together closely with HR to recruit and select new employees, so experience with creating a team is needed
• Support the R&D team in priority setting concerning projects/time spent
• Be the contact person for Management
• Where necessary assist the team in attending cross functional meetings
REQUIREMENTS
• 10+ experience in a similar function
• Experience in Project Management
• Background in Food or Chemical industry
• Experience in managing a team of R&D employees
• Experienced in taking strategic decisions on board level
