The Company

The Philips Accelerate! Business Transformation (BT) Organization was established in 2012 and drives a global change effort to improve Philips’ structural performance. Philips Excellence, in the heart of the BTorganization, includes 5 so-called capability practices. The Group Performance Management (GPM) practice is one of them. As a strong network of performance management champions from markets,sectors (businesses) and functions, we aim, to drive our company towards world class performancemanagement. By doing so, Philips will realize more sustainable results, increase the transparency and improve the quality and speed of decision making.

Role Description

Your role will be that of the GPM manager role which has three pillars:
 The first pillar is aimed at supporting the establishment of a mature, agile and fully integrated
Planning- and Performance Cycle, which provides clarity and drives uniformity and impact in the
different layers of the organization; this through application of continuous improvement (e.g.
Kaizen projects) and leveraging the skills and knowledge GPM Network.
 The second pillar is focused on building strong business planning and management capabilities
throughout the global matrix organization of all businesses and markets (BMC planning and
execution processes).
 Next to that, the third pillar ensures the ramp up of the Performance Management Capability, in
a robust and structured way.

Responsibilities

As the GPM Manager, your challenge is to help drive this additional potential in the following ways:
 Support the further improvement of the Performance Management processes (P&PC-processes)
and the growth in maturity of the Group Performance Management practice itself;
 Execute continuous improvement projects within the GPM practice;
 Support the execution and continuous improvement of the BMC planning & execution process;
 Drive the creation and maintenance of the required methods, tools and templates; act as
supporting expert towards the organization;
 Run a learning organization: perform analysis to recognize drivers of performance across
businesses, identify top-performers and facilitate the replication of success in lower-performing
areas;
 Facilitate cultural change: drive an entrepreneurial mindset and spirit of teaming up between
central businesses and local markets to collaborate and deliver results.

Requirements

A successful candidate brings together ‘hard’ performance related abilities, as well as ‘soft’ change skills:
 Tertiary education, Master’s degree. Overall (relevant) work experience of 4-8 years
 Performance management: relevant knowledge of performance management analytics, tools, reporting and dialogue aimed at resolving under-performance at an early stage, and replicating the success of over-performing businesses
 Project management and Continuous improvement (Lean) certification and/or proven experience  Company transformation: next to (consulting) experience in strategic planning and performance management, experience with running large scale transformational programs is required, preferably in a multinational company. Change experience covers directional/ strategic thought leadership, program management and cultural/ behavioral change
 Knowledge of application of MS Office tools, including SharePoint
 Expert level English and knowledge of additional languages preferred
 Creativity and business sense, ability to ‘think outside the box’
 Easy communicator and good sense of humor
