THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Pharmaceutical organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
They are an autonomous research laboratory that focuses on DNA-based analyses.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You have a decisive task in coordinating and executing various automation programs including the development of laboratory-supporting bioinformatics software such as the LIMS system. In addition, you coordinate and develop software for online applications that provide our customers with interactive insights into the results of their genome sequencing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You ensure that "big data" remains manageable and easily visualised and interpreted by customers.
- You are ultimately responsible for maintaining and improving ICT and cloud-based infrastructure in collaboration with external system administrators.
- You act as a point of contact both internally and externally to the system administrators.
- Together with the Bio-IT team, you will see that the environment meets the ISO27001 information security standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc or MSc in Bioinformatics
- 5 years of experience in bioinformatics
- Result and quality-driven
- Excellent knowledge in at least one programming language (C# or Visual Basic)
- Experience in one scripting language (preferable Python)
- Understanding SQL databases
- Previous experience in cloud computing is a plus
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Experience with ISO17025 or ISO27001 would be a great asset
