On behalf of our Client, the world leader in media sector, we are currently looking for candidates interested in a position of FP&A Commercial Analyst. This role really is a mix of supporting forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis processes with selected countries.
Your new role
- Support month end close activities related to accruals/deferrals of revenue and related costs and validation of actual results in the system
- Provide variance analysis to explain actual and forecasted performance of managed markets/regions vs prior year/plan/prior forecast
- Support forecasts/annual budgets development for managed markets by working with commercial team and market FP&A leaders to review and validate their bottom’s up, providing assessment and recommendations of revenue drivers to local finance directors
- Lead revenue analysis across managed markets to understand performance (customer, agency, industry, KPI trends analysis)
- Responsible for development of standard SMT and local commercial team reporting to highlight important trends, events or unusuals
- Generate insights on current revenue performance questions, opportunities and challenges
- Manage ad hoc strategic and BAU related financial requests i.e. preparing business plans, financial models and scenario analysis for situations including potential new channel launches or ceases, M&A)
- Drive simplification projects to improve efficiency in working in commercial FP&A area (i.e. forecast modelling automation with machine learning, creation of global revenue data warehouse reporting)
- Assist the business partners, central and regional teams with commercial related projects
- Collaborate across boundaries, share best practice working with different teams
- Gain comprehensive understanding of different markets in each region
- Establish helpful productive relationships with key contacts in HQ and across the regions to encourage the flow of information and share knowledge
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in finance analysis, forecasting and reporting
- Very good English verbal and written communication skills
- CIMA / ACCA / CPA certification or in progress would be preferred
- Knowledge of media industry dynamics and key metrics impacting revenue would be an asset
- Be able to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure while showing excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in using SAP
