We are working as a recruitment provider searching on our Client's behalf for a person in the following role:
Financial Accounting & Reporting Expert
Location: Kraków
Responsibilities:
Review of work prepared by junior staff
Overview Balance Sheet reconciliations
Lead consolidation activities
Review GL posting and supporting calculation
Prepare complex reports and reconciliations
Support ad-hoc activities and in-country team enquiries
Provide expertise to in-country and GFC teams
Continually asses the operational risk inherent in the process, taking account of changing operational procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements.
Financial Control Global Process Owner
Global Head of Operational Accounting
Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirements and assessing the adequacy in the changing environment.
Continually work on improving the level of automation by working closely within and across teams to identify solutions to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting and minimize manual intervention.
Requirements:
University degree in finance related discipline
Very good knowledge of IFRS and IAS
Knowledge of Banking regulations will be a plus
Understanding of GL systems and reporting software
Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be a plus
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (VBA will be plus)
Minimum 6 years relevant accounting/reporting experience
Banking/Insurance/Financial Services industry experience will be an asset
Project management experience will be an asset
Strong analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgment
Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
