For our Client, international company establishing new Finance Centre in Katowice we are currently looking for finance professional (GL) with previous experience in team management to join and become a Leader of the Finance team.

You and your team will be dedicated to deliver accounting service for internal Client fromSpain, Italy & Portugal.
More detailed responsibilities below:
  • Management of a team – preparing targets, delegating tasks, motivating, coaching
  • Supervise team’s day to day operational activities
  • Support Month end, quarterly, and year end book close and audit support
  • Execute the strategic goals and targets provided to shared services center staff by management
  • Monitor, manage, confirm, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the services offered
  • Utilize quality leadership principles to gather data, analyse problems, identify root causes, develop solutions, and measure performance
  • Ensure the team’s timely completion of all allocated tasks (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Participate in and support the process migration
  • Ensure continuous process improvement
  • Report to the Finance Shared Services Lead
  • Organize the Spain, Italy & Portugal team depending on workload
  • Supervise Month / Quarter / Year End Closing
  • Support Financial Statement preparation and creating commentaries
  • Ensuring accurateness of Journal Entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations performed by the Team
  • Liaison with auditors and tax advisors
  • Be the key point of contact for one group of countries for Spain, Italy & Portugal finance & accounting processes
  • Ensure back-up for Finance Shared Service Lead in order to guarantee service continuity
  • Be in direct contact with local finance teams and corporate team
  • Ensure continuous improvement of Spain, Italy & Portugal finance & accounting processes and work closely with project management team

To be successful on this position you need to have:
  • University/ College: Finance, Accounting, Economics
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant financial experience
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience (preferably gained in SSC/BPO environment)
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • SAP knowledge
  • Strong time and people management skills
  • Willingness to travel during the transition phase
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills, ability to motivate team members
  • Experience in transition projects to SSC/BPO structures as an advantage
  • As a plus- good command of German or Spanish
