DGS operates in Poland since 2007. The company, initially under the name Oticon Polska Production, manufactured hearing aids at a manufacturing facility in Mierzyn. Over the course of its 10-year existence, the company expanded their production range to technologically advanced hearing aids and diagnostic equipment, as well as IT, HR, software development, quality assurance, finances and logistic services. Due to the dynamic growth and experienced staff, a decision was made in 2015 to create a new organisation, which would provide its services to companies being parts of the William Demant Group. Currently, DGS employs 2200 people in Poland and is constantly expanding its operations, while continuously hiring new employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • design, coordinate and perform controlling procedures over the monthly financial reporting to ensure high quality of financial data
  • maintain liaison between finance departments in Finance Shared Service, Finance Control and Business Control functions in fields of monthly reporting
  • coordinate projects in global finance area, including implementation of improvements to work methodologies and internal controls implementation
  • propose, support and coordinate the implementation of improvements to work methodologies to ensure that finance processes work effectively and are adapted to the evolving requirements of the business
  • drive implementation of standardized global finance process and procedures
  • conduct independent reviews of end to end processes to evaluate internal controls within the organization and identify adequate controls needed
  • participate in developing, supporting and monitoring status of internal control framework

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master degree in finance, accounting or similar
  • 4 years of experience in finance (2 years of experience in audit / controlling is preferred)
  • work experience in international organization or shared service center organization
  • IFRS knowledge
  • knowledge of MS Office, advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • experience in working with accounting systems and ERP systems
  • fluent spoken and written English is a must (international meetings in English)
  • understanding of interdependencies in finance processes
  • analytical skills
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • able to work independently
