ERP Application Manager

The ERP Application Specialist/Manager acts as a subject matter expert for the team, answering questions and providing guidance for all team projects and requirements. It makes sure the ERP system (and complementary solutions) systems are functioning properly and helping the Business run smoothly. Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of the Applications system, including system development, business-as-usual support, etc.

Description

• Maintains close working relationships with Business stakeholders and suppliers to understand business requirements where they arise and be part of the team to prioritize and control the outputs to the overall benefit of the Business
• Guides business stakeholders and keep staff engaged in the system process and support activities; assists in escalation, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical production problems within the ERP and system area
• Responsible for delivery ERP improvements and ensuring a smooth transition to ongoing support (ERP expertise)
• Participates and leads the testing of bug and enhancements; ensures the timely development of functional documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles
• Provide ERP hands-on support, including analyzing, specifying, proposing and partnering with subject matter experts to generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using fundamental root cause analysis, to meet business needs
• Accurately document a business process, requirement, as well as system issues, technical design, changes and solutions
• Develop and document project scope and objectives based on the business needs, build up business cases as needed
• Work closely with cross functions to ensure efficient and timely project delivery, and apply multiple development methodologies into the IT applications projects
• Report on progress and provide regular updates. Clarify, identify, and track requirements and project issues/risks.
• Operate appropriate Governance, operational risk and control models
• Communicates with business leaders in functional areas to keep plugged in to what is happening or upcoming at the production sites analyzing opportunities for growth or productivity

Profile

• Knowledge in ERP, CRM, Power BI, SQL Server, Visual Studio or PHP, data query language, data definition and data manipulation
• Business acumen in trading distribution, manufacturing, and experience in financial management and logistics
• Have a passion for technology and willingness to embrace change, explore and adopt emerging technologies for practical business purposes
• Strong learning agility and comfort with a high degree of ambiguity
• Experience of delivering application management on Legacy applications, liaising with suppliers
• Excellent team player, with good communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers and other IT-related stakeholders, equipped with the ability to express technical matters to a non-technical audience
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing, or potential issues and recommend solutions
• Be self-motivated with good time management and prioritization management skills. Ability to influence and drive change
• Bachelor degree required (Computer Science or Information Technology related preferred)
• At least 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, project manager, or technical lead.
• Fluent spoken and written English
