Enterprise Hosting Engineer

Enterprise Hosting Engineer will be focused on the design, engineering and operation of hosting (with a cloud first strategy) globally. The goal is to provide a stable and robust infrastructure environment that consistently provides a positive hosting experience that is aligned with the overall business requirements. As an Enterprise Hosting Engineer, you will be part of the team to transform our Infrastructure Services.

Description

• Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
• Help the team design and engineer our future IT Infrastructure to support our cloud first strategy
• Manage and monitor on premise and cloud servers
• Oversight of infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Ability to see potential issues and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure accessibility
• Continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies
• Consistently and successfully provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Perform other job duties as required

Profile

• Proven experience in a combined customer service handling / technical support role
• Experience within Microsoft services like Active Directory, DNS etc. is essential
• Windows system design and administrator skills
• Experience with different virtualization solutions and ideally with cloud hosting platforms like Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience working with Nutanix (Prism)
• Knowledge of Windows server OS, and related system diagnostics.
• Experience with ServiceNow solution
• Experience with networking, infrastructure, server, application and development technologies
• Global Team Player - This role is part of a larger team
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field
• Possesses a services and solution orientated approach
• Empathy for others and willingness to work for the common goal
• Ability to share knowledge and collaborate by developing content and documentation for distribution to other team members, managers and customers
• Ability to handle pressure situations with clarity, focus and professionalism
