Your new role
The Engineering Team Lead’s role is to support development teams and all their activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational IT systems and software applications. There is a requirement to apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to coach and mentor the team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of software systems according to the agreed development standards and processes. Working with the team of Developers there is responsibility for recommending improvements to tools, processes and ways of working, adopting a continuous improvement method whilst also providing consultancy to help the operations team maintain and support any systems.
The Engineering Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that all team members are aware of their own performance against expectations and to coach where opportunities for improvements exist

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience managing an international engineering team.
- The ability to effectively listen to, communicate with, challenge, and influence team members.
- The ability to contribute directly to projects through hands-on development and effective delegation. And to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Proficiency in Java.
- An Agile mindset and working knowledge of the Scrum framework.
