For our Client, international company based near Katowice, we are looking for EMEA Supply Chain Manger.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the health, safety and environmental requirements of the function are maintained in accordance with company policies.
- Act in concordance with all applicable ethical requirements.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategy for materials and services procured in EMEA whether commodity, special purchase, services, or equipment.
- Develop an annual savings plan for the department (strategic) and methods of reaching that goal (tactical).
- Maintain close alignment with operational buyers and sales management in the region to understand requirements as they evolve.
- Position is expected to have/develop sophisticated knowledge of the manufacturing processes and cost drivers for all purchased components.
- Monitor and report the performance of supplier through formal and informal review procedures. Communicate supplier performance, identify areas for improvement and work with suppliers to execute.
- Direct management responsibility for Supply Chain employees.
- Support European locations in questions of strategic purchasing.
- Complete tenders with supply chain team, communicate results and execute purchase contracts where applicable.
- Mitigate risk despite ambiguity and unfrozen project specifications.
- Assist in developing and implementing standard cost protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years working experience in supply chain and purchasing management
- In-depth purchasing experience and cost awareness
- Proven negotiation skills and strong communication skills
- Fluent English communication skills
- In depth knowledge of sourcing, procurement principles and procurement systems
- Working knowledge of project management disciplines and proven analytical and conceptual working capabilities
