TheIndirect Procurement team is responsible for sourcing goods and services in a way that adds value to the business.
The focus of Indirect Procurement roles is to identify and establish category strategies, and apply those strategies in to optimize company spend, drive compliance and capture value. We are a rapidly growing animal healthcare company hence we are searching for several candidates to fill in our strategic and operational roles.
Key responsibilities and deliverables
- Accountability for establishing and implementation of assigned category(ies) in EMEA region. This may include one or more within Marketing/Sales, Travel & Meetings, Professional & HR Services.
- Identify, implement, and monitor category strategy/projects for ongoing process improvement & costs savings initiatives.
- Provide external focus through benchmarking, engagement with suppliers and peers in the industry, to identify leading business processes and technologies and evaluate those for company
- Drive the continuous improvement mindset across Sourcing and Business organizations; challenge as appropriate.
- Understand Business and Procurement/Sourcing needs, strategies, expectations of internal and external customers, and be the bridge between them
- Establish strong relationships with Business leaders/stakeholders across EMEA region, global procurement and S2C Team.
- Be accountable for the sourcing & contracting projects through RFIs, RFPs, e-auctions and overall source to contract projects which will be delivered by sourcing associates
In addition, the individual will develop and maintain market knowledge for the above referenced spend areas, identify and implement best business practices that deliver value, and network internally to influence change.
Minimum requirements
- University Degree or equivalent work experience
- +5 years Strategic Category Management and Sourcing experience preferably on a regional scale
- Wide experience across different categories – Marketing and G&A
- Written and spoken proficiency in English
- High standards in cooperation with business stakeholders, ability to connect and build strong relationship with stakeholders across the region/globe (matrix organization)
- High influencing and communication skills to implement the best solution for the company
- Ability to act as a business partner and change agent to fully understand company's business needs and ensure buy-in and successful implementation of category related solutions
- Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work across cultures and across diverse management styles
- Positive “can-do” attitude and comfortable managing ambiguity
- eSourcing Tool experience and MS Powerpoint
