Our client is a professional FMCG and Food organization, based in Belgium.
Is a passionate multinational with an annual sales rate of about 6 billion euros. Employing roughly 10.000 people and functioning as one of the driving engines they operate more than 50 production facilities worldwide serving the whole food b2b industry.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Since the company started to seriously invest in their packaging department in 2012, you will be responsible for the execution of cross-functional packaging projects to set-up and catalyse the development of new packaging programs in the EMEA region. In an inspiring and transparent environment you will be an essential asset in a team where you will be involved in the implementation and innovation of new packaging strategies. This will also give you the opportunity to really understand the fundamentals to eventually grow and develop yourself as an asset to the company. Passion, team spirit and integrity are essential characteristics are therefore standards for a succesful working process. In this function you will need to be experienced in engineering but you will also need to be able to communicate within different departments managing different stakeholders within and outside the company in the EMEA area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acting as a central packaging expert you will be the support for all packaging related activities on different production sites in the EMEA
- Using your experience you autonomously propose new systems, procedures and specifications to improve the departments' effectiveness
- You drive cost reduction through rationalisation of packaging materials and supplier diversification
- Being dynamic and interactive you will work and communicate in different packaging and production sites
- You effectively communicate between different departments such as QA, R&D and Marketing
- You will independently initiate and lead packaging projects
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor in Food Science or Packaging Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in a Food or FMCG packaging environment
- Ability to work autonomous in big company without a fixed structure
- Ability to dynamically communicate between internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent in English
