Our client is an international pharmaceutical company located in Poznan, where it is hiring 700 IT Professionals and is constantly growing.

Your new role
As a Domain Architect, you will be accountable for providing architecture services across a limited set of products at the Business Unit level, ensuring Tech business process strategies, technologies, projects and services are aligned to the intent of the wider enterprise and bring maximum value at the minimum practical cost. You will work with Product teams to ensure that Application, Information and Technical architectures align with the strategic target architecture plans and comply with all relevant Tech. You will provide leadership to link the business mission, strategy, and processes of the company to its IT strategy with plans, models and solutions that ensure the current and future needs of the organization and IT will be met in an efficient, secure, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.You will support the Tech Director, Domain Architect in delivering Product Solution Architecture services to Tech & Business, define target architectures for the business that translate and implement Product Strategies & Roadmaps as aligned to wider strategies (e.g. Cloud Strategy), policies and standards. This includes but not limited to :
  • Business process to system mapping
  • Application and technology selection/design
  • Information/data flow design
  • Application integration selection/design
  • IT service design to support end-to-end business processes
  • Total cost of ownership calculations
  • Interim architectures and steps to achieve target state
  • Scoping, planning and gaining approval for the target architecture development activity
You will support the delivery of architectural mitigations to gaps & risks identified through delivery of specific application & technology strategies, engage with internal functions and external bodies (companies, standards bodies and agencies) to understand the wider ecosystem that impacts the business process area, provide architectural support for demand backlog review, selection, scoping, approval and execution stages, supporting the Director, Domain Architect to scope, design and align product architectures that implement or converge on target architectures & ensure adherence to Tech standardsYou will work closely with Value Delivery teams and Product Owners to ensure solutions reflect agreed project architectures as well as providing insight on optimisation of existing Product portfolio solutions so that they continue to operate and evolve in line with business needs, the wider Tech environment and key standardsYou will support the processes that track exceptions to standards and target architectures and then provide remediation actions, driving these to conclusion and maximize reuse and contribute to the life-cycle of existing standards and services.
  • Approve architecture and standard exceptions while ensuring each is justifiable.
  • Embrace the principle of “Loosely Coupled, Highly Cohesive design” to Catalog, Develop, Coordinate and Communicate enterprise and information architectures, representations, capabilities, components, and plans in order for Tech to progress their product plans.
  • Work with the engineers and product owners to ensure products align with the strategic target architecture plans as well as help produce effectively designed solutions.
  • Contribute in Design and Development of intentional architecture components that act as foundational reusable patterns and enhances product design, performance and usability – and sets direction for cross-team implementation.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Graduate in science, engineering, computing or similar discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years relevant (e.g. Pharma) experience and / or exposure to enterprise architecture in an IT organization
  • Proven experience with architecting solutions on Azure or GCP or other major cloud providers
  • Experience with all artefacts of modelling and enterprise.
  • Experience of Agile and DevOps
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Familiarity and use of various technologies, languages and frameworj including Docker, Kubernetes, kafka, Python, JavaScript, java, spark, pytorch, CI/CD pipeline etc.
  • Good understanding of various software paradigms: procedural, data-driven, object-oriented, functional
  • Demonstrable knowledge depth in more than one area of software engineering and technology
  • Knowledge and experience of designing, implementing and managing business process area technologies / Products
  • Good knowledge of Tech across a number of applications, integration, data & technology. Working knowledge of business processes and the current application landscape across key areas of practice in the Business Areas supported is required
  • Demonstrable delivery of a full Product solution lifecycle with proven success in the design & delivery of integrated products and services
  • Able to demonstrate conceptual thinking, modelling, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as good interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
  • A proven ability to work within teams effectively to provide strong focus on collaboration, teamwork and delivery
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and how it applies to design/architectural methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Good knowledge and experience of Products ideally in a highly regulated environment such as Pharma or BioPharma
  • Product configuration experience preferably with certification in respective areas of expertise (e.g ERP/SAP Certification)
  • Knowledge of external & internal best practices relevant to aligned process area & products being supported
(e.g. Manufacturing, Research & Development, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, etc.)
