DevOps Windows Engineer
Location: WroclawIntelligent document management is a global engineering & support organization, comprising around 70+ individuals located across the world. We provide archiving and retrieval solutions to all business divisions focusing on Operational functions. The application is built in micro services matter on .net framework based on virtual platform along with 3rd party software to deal with multiple Petabytes of application and communication data.
We are looking for Business aligned DevOps engineers to join a fast-paced and dynamic Application team. The ideal candidate will be an energetic multitasker who will be aligned to an Application development team supporting developers, BAs, Testers and PMs throughout the SDLC and as an integrator to Operations teams. This role requires collaboration with multiple intra teams within the organisation and therefore good communication and people skills as well as open mindedness and critical thinking are essential in addition to the required technical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Day to day support Developers, BA, Testers and PMs throughout SDLC in Agile teams in all areas but not limited to release integration and deployment
- Be an integrator to Operations teams, especially to Wintel Services and DBAs
- Adopt, build and improve existing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other tools available within the organisation
- Set up, configure and manage a large estate of servers in Dev & Test environments
- Proactively look for areas of improvement, automation and setting high quality standards
- Engage in Agile methodology and scrum rituals
- Organise and coordinate releases, patching cycles, BCM (DR) tests and any other activities that affect the Applications (including creating implementation plans for all)
- Create implementation plans and technical documentations
- Plan capacity and hardware requirements for all environments
SKILLS
MUST
- Proven experience in CI/CD and good understanding of DevOps principles
- Release packaging and deployment design, creation and automation
- Quality experience in GitLab, Ansible, Scripting (e.g. Bash/PowerShell/CMD-batch) and SQL
- Sound knowledge of and experience in Micro-services architecture
- Sound knowledge of IIS, Azure, Wintel physical and virtual servers, MS SQL Servers
- Analytical and inquisitive mindset with solid problem-solving experience under pressure
- Willingness to learn new products and tools
- General understanding of networks, load balancers, job scheduling, login security and SSO
- Good communication and inter-personal skills

- Proficiency in administration of Wintel server
- Experience in Kofax Total Agility product
- Understanding of Document/Record management from processing to archiving
- Experience in a large corporate environment with technical specialist teams
