Management responsibilities:
- Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills
- Self manages the effort split between operational work and engineering work
- Support the delivery of changes and projects; liaising with Architects, Business Analysts, Solution Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, Operations and Testers to ensure end to end timely delivery
- Ensures required processes and procedures are in place and up to date
- Contribute to company development strategy, policy, procedures and practices
- Ensures proper 3rd line support
- Leads and participate in performance tests, identifies the bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization and capacity demands
Technical responsibilities:
- Deploys sustainable software, system and product upgrades
- Troubleshoots priority incidents, facilitates blameless post-mortems and supports solutions for closure
- Designs and implements solutions:
- For monitoring how our product eco-system and infrastructure is behaving in every aspect (no dark corners)
- For developers that facilitate rapid deployment of new features by providing access to extremely user-friendly developer efficiency tools, personas, product configuration scripts, and bot infrastructure to facilitate gaining confidence to deploy code extremely quickly
- Resolve technical issues and support all related technical processes
- Verify design documentation, solution architecture
Requirements:
- Have the skills to be commonly considered for a DevOps developer with a focus on infrastructure as code and monitoring dashboards.
- Capable of developing and maintaining cloud based infrastructure and third-party integrations.
- Good to have skills: Java, REST Microservice – Jersey/Swagger or UI – Angular/JavaScript/Node, Python, Bash
- Will consider candidates with minimal of devops experience – provided they have strong infrastructure as code and software fundamentals.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science (or related) is highly desirable. Will consider candidates with little or no professional experience – provided they have strong infrastructure as code and software fundamentals with ability to demonstrate technical initiative, intellect, and a results orientation.
