DevOps Engineer

We’re searching for a DevOps Engineer with AWS focus, to become a member for our team. You’ll be shaping and forging the product, together with our Clients and their Developers' teams.

Your responsibilities

• Take a leadership role in driving automation, optimization and security initiatives for cloud-hosted products;
• Design reviews, continuous improvement cycles for products launched in the cloud;
• Suggesting and implementing changes in infrastructure, working with backend and frontend developers;
• Helping customers' DEV teams deliver products faster and optimize their jobs in an automated manner;
• Educating other team members and being a kind of technological leader for their daily issues;
• Keeping environments secured and continuously improved with the best DevOps approach;
• Automating daily tasks(backups, security checks, cost checks, OS patching) via AWS Lambdas, Bash scripts, etc.;

Basic skills

• Expert knowledge of AWS services and Kubernetes
• Over 5 years of experience in design of high scalable and high reliable systems deployed in both on premise and cloud environment.
• Practical experience with following AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, R53, ALB/ELB, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SSM, CloudFront, KMS as well as knowledge of their pricing model;
• Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines based on Jenkins
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services and practical knowledge of how to leverage them to build complex solutions;
• Good knowledge  of declarative automation tool: Terraform;
• Perfect understanding of scaling up / out and high availability topics in the context of solutions deployed in the cloud;
• Knowledge of patterns in modern systems design: overall systems architecture (system layers, DDD, etc.), messaging systems, SOA, event-driven architectures;
• Python or Node.js coding in terms of automation tasks;
• Understanding of DevOps practices and culture of work (Continuous Integration/Deployment);
• Understanding of CDN, SSL management and Web Application Firewall;
• Identity and Access Management (experience with at least one from following: LDAP, AWS IAM Roles);
• Container management (experience with designing at least one from following: Docker, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes);
• Great understanding of databases engines (MySQL or PostgreSQL, Cassandra, DynamoDB) and ability to design structure of databases according to customer's need;
• Usage of Code Repositories (experience with at least one from following: Gitlab, Bitbucket, Github);
• Experience with VPN Solutions, Direct Connect;
• Good understanding of BGP routing protocol in terms of hybrid connections
• Good understanding of network services (DHCP, DNS, SSH, NTP, SFTP, LDAP);
• Experience in ​systems security architecture
• Experience in ​API​development (RESTFull, Event based, RPC, proprietary protocols) including authentication and authorization aspects (OpenID, OAuth)
