HL Tech is a new Hargreaves Lansdown’s technology center that will allow us to bring innovative new products to the market, and to support its rapid growth we are looking to expand its technology capabilities. The entire HL Tech team will be based in prime real estate in central Warsaw. You will be working as part of an Agile/Scrum squad dedicated to greenfield projects that will create innovation, a major step forward in next generation client service on the £700 billion savings market in the UK. We are looking for highly skilled & motivated DevOps Engineers who enjoy seeing their work making a measurable impact to a business and disrupting the status quo.
Our development squads will consist of Java Developers, Test Engineers and IT Analysts and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the entire product.

DevOps Engineer
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation tools, managing new tools deployment
- Suggesting your ideas, participating in technology choices, presenting your solutions
- Leveraging new programmatic solutions, responsibility for innovation
- Managing test and development environment
- Maintenance of build system automation, preparing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes
- Studying our workflows, improving them and creating new ones
- Close cooperation with the development scrum squads
- Providing training for customers during deployment projects
Essential Skills
- Few years of professional experience in IT, preferably in software development
- Knowledge on Linux system administration, including software and hardware production level
- Experience with automation tools like Puppet, Chef or any other cutting-edge technology you think will help you to achieve your goals
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Bash or any other
- Experience and passion to work in DevOps approach
- Have a mindset of continuous improvement in everything you do
- Tenacious, with a pride in what you doDesirable Skills
- A degree in computing, IT or a numerate discipline
- Knowledge of finance products
- Familiarity with database programming
- Experience in administration role with virtualized environments (VMWare, KVM or any other)
- Communicating with multiple internal and external services & APIs
- Practical knowledge on developing using JavaScript, Angular.js node.js or any other
