Defect Manager - Automotive

For the steering of our development teams for the next generation of driver assistance and autonomous driving software, we are looking for a Defect Manager

You will work in a project management team that is responsible for 100+ people in a multilocation project. You have to take care of the problem (defect) management of a currently developed product. Team leads for each team will support you in getting the necessary information out of the team and also getting needed impulses into the team. As our teams develop complex and state-of-the-art technologies you have to be comfortable with new approaches and a constantly changing environment that are needed for further growth.

• Managing problem ticket (bugs / defects) in JIRA according to Problem Management SLA
• Communicating with software developers and project manager about the current progress of issues and solutions provided
• Support senior project management team
• Track and handle project internal location needs and requests
• Deep cooperation with internal departments
• Regular reporting and task reprioritization based on the management team requests

• Academic degree in business informatics, engineering management, computer science, electrical engineering or similar qualification.
• 2+ years IT coordination experience in international large-scale projects, preferably in the automotive domain
• First experience as defect/problem manager, project coordinator or related coordinative roles (requirements management, resident engineer, bridge head), alternatively academic experience with focus on management / coordination
• Very strong communication skills, able to communicate with customer stakeholders, management and the team
• Very familiar with Office Tools, especially Excel
• Fluent English
• Very familiar with Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, Office Tools
• Good understanding of the Problem Resolution Management processes (ASPICE model SUP.9 section - https://www.kuglermaag.com/automotive-spice/sup9-problem-resolution-management/)
• Enthusiasm for embedded systems and automotive

• Software development or testing expertise is very beneficial
• Experience in embedded automotive environment.
• Good German language skills (at least level B2)
