Key duties:
- DB2 database installation and administration
- Providing 2nd line support
- DB2 upgrades, migrations and maintaining
- System troubleshooting and problem solving in DB2
- Backup/Restore
- User and Rights administration
- HADR/TSA configuration and maintaining
- Batch management, storage capacity administration, performance tuning
- Database and Index reorganization
- Audit/Security implementation
- Working on system automation
- Keeping up effective monitoring
- Cluster management
- Working on technical and procedural documentation
Requirements:
- Higher education (IT preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in DB2 software installation, backup/restore strategies for databases and clients
- 2+ years of experience in IT and in client focused technical support
- 2+ years of experience in databases area (preferably as a Production Support DBA)
- 1+ years of experience of configuring disaster recovery strategies (TSA/HADR/HACMP etc.)
- Knowledge of new release upgrades
- Knowledge of storage structures
- Knowledge of users and security management
- Knowledge of schema objects management
- Knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL
- Basic knowledge about OS (Linux, AIX, Windows) and Network
- Experience in shell/perl scripting or other programming languages
- Certificates confirming IT knowledge as a plus
- Readiness to work in 24x7 multi cultural environment
- English skills (min. B1)
Optionally:
- Basic knowledge about TSM and TWS
- Basic knowledge about UC4 and RES
- Knowledge about MS SQL/Oracle or other RDBMS
