Description

• Establishing database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan, and security policy.
• Preparing documents and communicating database design.
• Evaluating and installing database management systems.
• Participating in quality assurance and developing test application code in a client-server environment.
• Analyzing database performance and stability provides recommendations for devising, and defining table structures and fields on the database layer.
• Adapting business requirements, developed by modeling/development staff and systems engineers, and develops the data, database specifications, and table and element attributes for an application.
• Determining the appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
• Determining how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model.
• Working on tasks and projects of medium and high complexity.
• Making decisions about the set goals in their area of work, as well as at the level of the division within the framework of their professional responsibilities.
• Working with the necessary level of autonomy within the framework of their education and experience, as well as their position.
• Monitoring the implementation of its own work plan.
• Providing a report on the work done in accordance with internal procedures and on time.
• Timely reporting any problems or errors found and offers solutions.
• Interacting with colleagues from other departments within the project, if necessary, taking on the role of the project lead.
• Acting as an expert in their professional field for their colleagues, advising, and answering questions as part of their expertise.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in a design-related field.
• 3-4 years experience as a DBA
• Proven experience as a DBA in a fast paced, high growth, technology and intensive environment
• Solid background in PostgreSQL (Disaster recovery, Replication, Backups, Query tuning, Table partitioning)
• Solid background in Microsoft SQL Database Administration, High Availability and Disaster Recovery, T-SQL, Query tuning and support of application design and development.
• Solid background in SQL Server BI Administration (Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services) and SharePoint services.
