We are looking for candidates for our client with the banking sector.
Data Specialist
Your typical day might include the following:
• Performing data analysis of key problem areas to assist in root cause analysis. (wrong data types, formats, corruptions etc
• Researching and collecting data to assist with product development and analysis
• Escalating data issues which need process re-engineering.
• Extracting, importing, and exporting data in various database applications - ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Auditing data on regular basis to ensure data integrity and data quality
• Assisting with ongoing data architecture processes and governance
• Assisting in maintenance, back up and security of business data.
• Training as necessary on data operational activities.
To join us you should have:
• Interest in database languages like MS SQL, Teradata, DB2 and in Big Data Concept
• Awareness of connections of tables, data lineage (in a case of two warehouses) and data modelling - logical/physical
• Excel knowledge
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Very good English
• Motivation to learn and constantly improve processes and tools
• Strong communication skills
Extra skills could also include:
• Experience in DB languages
• Experience in data modelling
