Data Specialist (Visualization developer)
Location: Kraków- Kapelanka
Data Specialist (Visualization developer) with some additional skillset and experience needed in BI tools experience (Tableau, Qliksense , Qlikview, etc.) for visualization need.
Data Specialist will manage the successful delivery of data analysis and other data architecture/data modelling activities as required by project(s). The activities will include the set up and data analysis, data migration and preparation of data models, identification of data flow between systems and contribution to IT and analysis developments.
Person in this role will be working closely with Chief Data Officers, IT Architects, big data engineers and subject matter experts to not only maintain and improve the existing Data Structure, but also build the next generation data models/warehouses as well as supporting Regulatory / Data Governance activities with working on to identify the data lineage, metadata, data quality controls, data quality metrics and do the remediation.
The role will also facilitate and co-ordinate all responses to requests from clients, ensuring responses are complete and are consistent globally.
As a Data Specialist, the role includes working closely with Senior Data Specialists, being open and approachable for new requirements and enthusiasm for improvement.
Main Duties:
Engagement with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and efficient communication with stakeholders
Analyze and propose solutions based on business requirements
Data analysis (data lineage, metadata, data quality and governance) and Data Modeling (conceptual, logical and physical) activities
Database development support activities to implement data models
Looking after regulatory/governance activities
Involvement in Big Data solutions
Complete projects in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Familiarity with Business Intelligence and/or Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI) tools
Familiarity with structured query languages (SQL)
Familiarity with Data Analytics tools and languages (R, Python, etc.)
Ability to independently analyze, understands, troubleshoot, and modify existing software code
Experience in debugging and testing software applications
Experience with cross functional teams on resolving issues reported by stakeholders
Understanding of information systems; system architecture, data management processes, and data quality assurance.
University graduate (preferable in IT) followed by at least 1-2 years of professional experience,
Good knowledge of working experience with data analysis
Good understanding of English is essential,
Experience in Agile type methodologies will be an advantage,
Prior working experience in a bank or a financial institution will be an advantage but not a must,
Good interpersonal skills,
Ability to work in changeable environment,
