Description
We are looking for a Data Solution Architect who will carry out a project for our Client – one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world. The tests that will be performed mainly relate to web applications and to a lesser extent, desktop applications (in the company’s internal system).
Main tasks
- Provide technical and thought leadership, strategic thinking and architectural direction on data projects
- Implementing the future state architecture visions for projects from the commercial banking area and create clear architecture solution choices, to provide analysis on benefits/challenges
- Define and communicate commercially aware architecture designs for data solutions in accordance to design authority governance
- Work closely with the engineering teams and other stakeholders to meet the projects requirements aligned with Group standards, IT and business strategy
- Manage relationship with development and infrastructure teams and provide technical design assurance
- Create clear architecture solution choices, to provide analysis on benefits/challenges
- Identifying operational and delivery risks
- Provide governance on architecture. Design, implement standards and target operating models for IT activities
- Development and support of Integration standards, patterns, strategies, roadmaps and architectures
Requirements
- University graduate of Computer Science/IT-related field, preferably with major in Software/System engineering or relevant working experience in the field
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation with good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to connect Blocks/Components
- Good technical background related to Big Data technologies:
- Administration: Integration and Development
- Languages: SQL/HQL, PigLatin
- Tools: Spark, Hive, HBase, Hadoop, Kafka, Flume, Storm, NiFi
- Good technical background related to Data
- Warehouse/RDBMS in one or more such technologies: Oracle, Teradata, DB2, MSSQL,
- Experience with BI Tools
- Knowledge of SDLC/Agile methods
