For our client from Cracow, one of the largest and most cited publishers globally, we are looking for a Data Engineering Team Lead who will join new growing team.
Your new role
Your duty will be to establish and enforce an agile software development lifecycle (development, quality assurance, optimization, release, and monitoring). You will oversee technical decisions of technologies and engineering best practices. Data Engineering Team Lead will also embrace the role of Scrum Master, enabling the delivery of high quality value through Sprints and contribute to the delivery of the engineering team. The person on this position will be also collaborating with internal teams (development, quality assurance, automation, etc.).
What you'll need to succeed
Key Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience in a team lead/leadership role within a data engineering environment
• Experience with Agile Methodologies (SCRUM) with the role of Scrum Master
• Motivational skills, ability to communicate and build relationships on all levels
• Understanding of Enterprise Data Platform architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, Data Streaming, Software Design Patterns, and Best Practices
• Experience in creating functional and technical specifications, including the creation of mock-ups, diagrams, workflows and use cases
• Solid verbal and written English communication skills
Tech Stack
• Databricks (or Python, Spark or PySpark)
• Azure Delta Lake
• SQL
• Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub and Kafka are a plus
